The Realm of Joroin
Eladrin are of human height. They are slim, and even the strongest simply look athletic rather than muscle-bound. They have a pale almost sickly complexion, though they are totally healthy. Their straight, fine hair is white, silver, or very pale gold, and they wear it long and loose. Their ears are long and pointed, and their eyes are pearly and opalescent orbs of vibrant blue, violet, or green. Eladrin can’t grow facial hair and have little body hair.Eladrin children grow much as human children do, but their aging process slows to a crawl when they reach maturity. They enjoy youth and health for most of their lives and don’t begin to feel the effects of age until the middle of their fifth century. Most live for near 800 years, and even at the end they suffer few of the infirmities of old age.
Most Eladrin live in the Fey Wild and cannot access the mortal realm at all, the few who were left in Joroin when the Fey Tower was destroyed tend to keep to themselves and their studies as to why their numbers seem to dwindle every year. Some rumor that a secret assassin is killing them off one by at the command of Simon the Eternal or possibly some drow matron, while others rumor that the only way an Eladrin woman can birth a child is if an adult of their race dies… so when they die here they are reborn on the other side of the gate…
The Eladrin dispise the drow for falling in with Lolth so long ago. They look at them as a stain on an otherwise perfect race. An eladrin will not associate with a drow except under the most dire of circumstances.
